Crawling Christian
The baby figured it out! He has been attempting to crawl for a little while now, but just yesterday, his legs got pumping in sync with his arms (sort of). He is now able to crawl where he wants to go instead of just rolling over and hoping for the best. Our baby is growing up crazy fast!

Disney World 2: Magic Kingdom
We got two full days to spend in the Magic Kingdom. We rode a lot of rides on the first day and only met a couple of characters. We ate at the Beast's Castle and Gaston's Tavern. We saw two parades and walked all over.
The first day, though filled with unbeatable memories, was also the day that Larkin came down with strep throat. He is such a trooper! He stayed in the park and helped me wrangle all four kids until about 10 p.m. because I was determined to watch the nighttime parade. We didn't realize it was strep until we got the kids in bed that night and looked at his throat. We took him to a doctor the next morning and got him on antibiotics immediately and were cleared to return to the Magic Kingdom the following day. Through modern medicine and MANY prayers, Larkin felt well enough to spend a wonderful second day in the park!
On our second day, we ate a delicious brunch at the Crystal Palace where we met Winnie the Pooh and his friends. We went on a few rides, and we talked the twins into riding their first roller coaster! Though terrified, they ending up loving it. Then we got caught in a thunderstorm and got soaked! We were hot, wet, and felt gross. We decided to go back to the resort, maybe return later after getting dry, but we would stop at the front of the park and get Mickey Mouse's autograph before we left. Then this happened:
It was amazing!!!! We weren't expecting Mickey to talk. We thought he would wave and pose, like the other characters did, but we weren't expecting a full-blown conversation with a fully-animated Mickey. Josh, who was tired and cranky in line, was a different kid afterwards.
We were all rejuvenated after that. We took the train to the back of the Magic Kingdom and started it all over again. We met lots more characters, hit more rides, walked through shops, and spent the rest of the day in the park.
Disney World was exactly what everyone told us it would be: a magical place full of wonderful memories! We still talk about it constantly, and I'm secretly planning our next Disney vacation. It won't happen any time soon, but it WILL happen!

Disney World 1: Cars Resort
We arrived at our home for the week, Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The resort had sections for Little Mermaid, Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Cars. We thought we would make Josh's two-year-old dreams come true and stay in Radiator Springs.
We got to the hotel after driving for about 8 hours, so Josh was ready to get out of the car. When he saw the surroundings, we literally could not keep him contained any longer. My favorite parts of these videos are 1) seeing his disbelieving excitement, and 2) watching him try to run while keeping on his sandals.
We pulled him away from the cars long enough to take him to our room. I think he could have happily stayed there forever.
Christian didn't think it was too bad, himself.
The whole resort was as cool as the Cars section.
Leaving was hard for everyone, especially Josh. He had to hug all the cars goodbye before he would leave.

Easter 2014
Larkin and I have been planning an AWESOME trip for our family this summer, but we haven't told the kids about it. (Well, technically, I've told Josh, but he's kept my secret.) (Okay, and Christian knows too. So basically we hadn't told the twins.) The Easter Bunny found out about our trip and leaked the secret to the kids. We were hoping for a more enthusiastic response, but it came eventually.
Larkin and I realized that the twins just needed more information to make them excited. We started telling them about all the things they would see and do while in Disney World, and now they're bouncing off the walls with eagerness. One of the things we are (i.e., I am) excited about is an arcade game based on the movie Wreck-it Ralph. I'm mostly excited to see Josh's reaction.
And then the miscellaneous pictures from Easter morning:

Introducing Christian!!!!!
We are SO excited to introduce the newest member of the family! Christian Thomas Le Sueur was born at 7:57 a.m. on Dec. 19. He weighed in at 7 lb. 14 oz. and is 20.5 inches long. He is the sweetest, handsomest, snugglyist, loveable little boy.
The twins were at school when Christian was born, so all the kids had to wait until they visited the hospital before they learned if they had a brother or sister. I think their reactions speak for themselves.

Anna's First Dance Performance
Anna is currently taking a "Musical Theatre" dance class. It teaches kids her age about basic choreography and singing. This class fits her perfectly. She took a ballet class over the summer, and though she had fun, it wasn't "Anna" enough. This class is exactly what she wanted. She gets to dance and sing and learns about musicals at the same time. She's in heaven, as you can imagine.
Her class had a performance this past weekend at a "Christmas in the Park" festival. They kept the choreography very basic, obviously, but this was her first experience performing in front of an audience. She claims that she was nervous, but she did great! We love our little artist!

Happy Thanksgiving - kindergarten style!
The twins had some fun activities this past week with their school to gear up for Thanksgiving. They started with the "Turkey Trot" - a food drive where the kids ran laps. Parents were invited to run with the students; but since I'm four weeks away from having this baby, I stood on the sidelines to cheer them on.
The last day before Thanksgiving break, their class put on a little play. The sound quality is bad, and the kids were speaking softly. Anna had to repeat her line because no one could hear her. Then they sang Thanksgiving songs before enjoying their Thanksgiving feast for lunch.
It was fun to enjoy these activities with Will and Anna - and to have good friends who watched Josh for me so that I could enjoy these activities. This Thanksgiving, we're grateful for the good school and wonderful teachers and friends that the twins have been blessed with!
In other news, being a bishop can be exhausting, as evidenced by this Sunday afternoon photo:
